Growing up in Houston, Texas, Emily gave her life to Christ at a young age. During her teenage years she participated in many mission trips, both in the US and internationally. She first came to Croatia in 2017 with a sports evangelism ministry, and went back again the next year. On this second trip, the direction of her life changed completely as God called her to work in Croatia full-time. After finishing her education, she moved to the city of Sisak in Croatia in 2021.
Growing up in Amstelveen, a town close to Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Frank committed his life to Christ during his early teenage years. He was actively involved in the church, and after finishing his education he started working as a bookkeeper. In June 2022, he participated in his first missions trip to be a coach at a sports evangelism camp in Sisak. Here he met Emily and during their week at camp they began getting to know each other. This continued after camp and about a month after they met, Frank visited Croatia again to ask Emily if she would enter into a relationship with him! Four months later they were engaged! During this process God called Frank to move to Croatia and join Emily in serving in Sisak. They got married in June 2023 and moved into their home in Sisak. In early 2025 Frank joined Emily in full-time missionary work, and in July 2025 they welcomed their daughter into their home.
